1 Bangladeshi was killed in Srinathpur border of Maheshpur upazila of Jhenaidah district in firing by Indian border guard force BSF. This incident happened on Tuesday morning. The deceased's name is Ripon Hossain (30) and his father's name is Raihan Uddin. The deceased Ripon's house is in Sarishaghata village of Maheshpur upazila.
It is to be noted that this is the first time a Bangladeshi has been killed in BSF firing on the border after the new Narendra Modi government took power.
