The picture you are looking at is the picture of Thakurgaon Zamindar Bari Mosque. It is a wonderful mosque. Although this mosque is located in a secluded village, this mosque has a great reputation.
This mosque is located in Jamalpur village, 15 km southwest of Thakurgaon city. The most interesting thing about the mosque is that the mosque is built in the Mughal style of architecture. The 3-domed mosque on a high platform is surrounded by beautiful minarets and carvings. The domes are mostly vaulted.
It is known that first Zamindar Abdul Halim and after his death Zamindar Nunu Mohammad Chowdhury built this mosque in 1867. After the death of Nunu Mohammad, Zamindar Emdadur Rahman Chowdhury, Zamindar Karim Uddin Ahmad Chowdhury and Zamindar Badiuddin Ahmad Chowdhury were given the responsibility of overseeing the mosque. There is a lot of interest in this mosque even though it is in a remote village. Many people come to see this historic mosque.
