The land minister called to stand against extortion, corruption, terrorism and drugs

Ishwardi from Dr. Anwarul Islam Land Minister Shamsur Rahman Sharif MP has announced zero tolerance against extortion, corruption, terrorism and drugs in Ishwardi and called upon everyone to stand against it.

The Land Minister said this while addressing the chief guest at the foundation stone laying ceremony of the two-storey building of Shamsur Rahman Sharif Homeopathic Medical College Hospital adjacent to Ishwardi Alhaj Camp today (Saturday). Lands Minister Shamsur Rahman Sharif unveiled the plaque of Homeopathic Medical College and inaugurated its foundation stone laying.

Shamsur Rahman Sharif said drug addicts do not live long. Parents, relatives, responsible people of the society are advised to inform the children about the evils of drugs in their respective areas and keep them away from drugs. He also urged everyone to send their children to school regularly, to encourage physical activity and sports.

The Land Minister also said that the children of this generation should be taught about the history of Bengali language, language movement and the real history of the liberation war.

The land minister said that Bengali nationalism had been instilled in the hearts and minds of twenty one Bengali nation. At the dawn of 1952, the Pakistani ruling group shot and killed Rafiq, Salam, Barkat, Jabbar and many others who were agitating for Bengali as the state language. Since that day Bengali language has become a milestone.

The land minister said that those who kill the rights of the orphans of this country have the ghost of Mir Jafar, the traitor of Bengal. These ghosts could not escape the eyes of the law. Some have been jailed for five or ten years for embezzling orphans' money and corruption. He called for unity to build a corruption-free, happy, prosperous and developed Bangladesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
