According to a report by NDTV, a man was eating lunch in a restaurant in Bandup area of Mumbai, the commercial capital of India. At this time, suddenly the mobile phone in his pocket exploded.

This incident happened on June 4 at noon. The CCTV footage of the incident shows that the unidentified person was eating in the restaurant. At this time smoke started coming out from the mobile phone. Later he jumped from the seat and threw the mobile. Then panic spread among others in the restaurant. They also left their seats in fear and ran.

According to media reports, the person was slightly injured in the mobile phone explosion incident. He was later admitted to a local hospital.

Note that in March this year, a young woman died while using a mobile phone in Kheriakani district of Orissa state. The 18-year-old girl was injured in her hand, chest and leg when the mobile phone exploded while the young woman was talking to a relative while charging the mobile phone. He was later taken to a local hospital where he died. In October last year, a passenger's mobile phone suddenly caught fire on a Jet Airways flight from Delhi to Indore. Later the plane landed safely with about 120 passengers on board.
