But the interesting thing is that these thieves are again uploading those videos to the channel of those thieves on YouTube. As a result, the real owners of the videos are suffering. Because a person is making a video and uploading it on YouTube. But the video thieves are very easily downloading that video and uploading it to their channel.
YouTube is now bringing a new feature called Copyright Match Tool to catch these video thieves, through which tools YouTube can easily catch those video thieves. This information was revealed in a YouTube blog post. If any new video is uploaded to YouTube through this new tool, YouTube will scan it. It will be analyzed whether there is compatibility of the video uploaded with any video uploaded on any other channel on the YouTube platform or not.
If that video matches a video uploaded to another channel, a tab named 'Matches' will appear. Through this tab, YouTube can control the upload of those stolen videos. According to YouTube authorities, the copyright match tool has been in testing for a year to prevent illegal re-uploads of content. Long-term testing has been done to make this tool more secure, efficient and useful for the entire community.
If a newly uploaded video matches a previously uploaded video, the original uploader can contact the new uploader or request YouTube to remove the video. It has also been informed that those who have more than one lakh subscribers on YouTube will be able to use the new feature from next week. But the feature will be developed more and soon it will be open for everyone.
