The Dhaka Times Desk It has been proposed to build a 'Jamal Khashoggi Road' in the USA after the slain journalist Jamal Khashoggi. The road's name change is a reminder to Saudi officials that such heinous killings are totally unacceptable.
According to a report in The Guardian, local authorities have voted to rename the road next to the Saudi Embassy in the United States as 'Jamal Khashoggi Road'. They voted to change the name of the road to honor the slain journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
It is reported that the advisory commission will name it as Jamal Khashoggi Road after getting permission from the city council there.
They said that we suggested renaming the road to remind Saudi officials that such heinous killings are totally unacceptable. This has also been mentioned in the road name change petition.
It should be noted that the exiled Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi was killed while bringing marriage documents to the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on October 2. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has come under a lot of pressure around the world.
