Up to 32 people can participate in Apple's FaceTime video call. Before the new update, only 25 users could join Skype together.
Microsoft has made some changes to the group notification system to control so many users at once in a group call. Before the update, calls to groups would ring individually. Now instead of ringing on the big screen, customers will be pinged through notifications.
Which group call subscribers can actually ring you can also be determined in the new update. If there are less than 25 people in this group call, Skype will still give the 'call organizer ring' as before. With the introduction of Skype's group chatting facility of 50 people, it is expected to be accepted by more customers.
