The Dhaka Times Desk There is a story of a village which today has been lying deserted for 30 years. For the past 30 years it has been deserted and empty!
A very small village. There are only 6 stone houses in the entire village. They have also lost color and turned gray after long time. However, the entire village has been lying empty for the past 30 years. Various 'ghostly' stories and rumors are heard around this abandoned village by the mouth of the locals.
It is believed among the locals that the ghosts come down to this village after dusk! The surrounding environment seems to be stagnant.
There is a small village called 'Acorada' in Galicia in the north of Spain. Members of the Iglesias family once lived here. However, this Akorada village has been completely empty for the past 30 years.
Only a 57-year-old member of the Iglesias family has been taking care of their ancestral land in this village for a long time. So what happened that all the members of the Iglesias family were forced to leave their homeland?
It is known that in 2008, millions of people lost their income due to financial crisis around the world. At this time, many people left the village and started living in the city in order to survive. Along with the financial crisis, the underdeveloped communication system and medical system are to some extent responsible.
There were no facilities of modern life here. So one by one most of the people of 'Akorada' have gone elsewhere. Many such villages in Europe became almost deserted one after another like 'Acorada' in Spain.
According to a study by Spain's Department of Rural Development, by 2050, about 70 percent of the country's population will live in urban areas. This number of leaving the village and living in the city is increasing day by day. At the same time, settlements in rural areas are gradually fading away.
Being abandoned for many years, the appearance of the village has changed. As people are not living, the surrounding environment is naturally stagnant. Not only this, at least 40 such abandoned villages in Europe have been bought by foreigners.
The atmosphere of the places has also changed a lot after the change of ownership. The village has returned to the pulse of life! The same is expected in the case of 'Akorada'.
