Recently, security researchers found that millions of people around the world use a common password. And that is 123456.
According to the study, millions of people use easy-to-guess passwords for sensitive personal or corporate accounts.
An analysis by the UK's National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) revealed that 123456 was used as the password for most of the accounts that were most hacked or easily accessed by someone else.
Using this common password makes the data sector insecure. This research has helped to expose the lack or gaps in cyber-knowledge of the general public. Which will help people to avoid great danger and risk of suffering.
According to the NCSC, a strong password in information security can be made up of 3 separate words that are easy to remember.

For their first cyber survey, the NCSC research team analyzed public databases of accounts that have been hacked or compromised so far.
They try to find out which words, phrases and formulas people used as their passwords. Many people use birth date or year to remember.
People tend to save their information with a handful of common passwords. And at the top of the list of passwords was 123456. Which has been used as a password for different accounts more than 23 million times.
The second most popular password is 123456789. This means that 3 additional numbers have been added. Cracking this type of password was not a difficult task even after increasing the number. So experts advise never to use this type of password.
