Facebook authorities plan to add special security features to keep the messaging facility more private in Messenger. Face ID, Touch ID and passcode systems are being added to Messenger. It also allows users to 'lock' Messenger, so that no one else can see private messages.
Technology website Engadget reported in a report that Facebook is currently testing Messenger's security features. When these features are activated, the user has to enter his messenger's inbox only with a password or ID. Even if the phone is unlocked, you have to enter the messenger with the ID. It will also have the facility to set how long the app will lock after exiting.
A Facebook spokesperson told Engadget, 'We are committed to giving users more choice and control so that customers can keep private messages secure. Recently we started testing such a feature that requires opening the Messenger app using device settings. An extra layer of privacy has been added so that no one can accidentally read the message.'
Last month, Facebook launched the video conferencing tool 'Messenger Rooms'. It can connect up to 50 people at a time and even those who don't have a Facebook account can join it. The Messenger Rooms creation feature has been launched on iOS, Android, Windows and macOS operating systems.
