The Dhaka Times Desk Holy Ramadan has started in Saudi Arabia from today (Monday). As the moon of the holy month of Ramadan was not sighted last Saturday, the start of the holy month of Ramadan was announced from today (Monday).
Nowhere in the Middle East was the moon seen during the holy month of Ramadan on Saturday (May 4). Accordingly, the month of Shaban of 1440 Hijri has completed 30 days and fasting has started in the Middle East including Saudi Arabia from Monday (May 6). Arab News confirmed that the moon was not seen in Saudi Arabia.
Like Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Oman, Egypt, Malaysia, USA, UK, Australia and Singapore also started fasting from today (Monday). Taraweeh prayers start from Sunday in these countries. As Saudi Arabia started fasting on Monday, it is almost certain that Bangladesh will start fasting on Tuesday.
