The Dhaka Times Desk Jamaat has called another morning-evening hartal tomorrow Thursday in protest against the death sentence against Jamaat Secretary General Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid.
Online news media reported that a Naib Amir of Mahanagar Jamaat confirmed this information on Wednesday. Besides, the leader also said that there may be a continuous strike based on the verdict.
It is to be noted that the International Criminal Tribunal-2 has sentenced Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid to death on charges of crimes against humanity, including the killing of intellectuals, on Wednesday afternoon. This judgment was given as 5 of the 7 charges brought against him were proved. Justice Obaidul Hasan announced the verdict at the International Criminal Tribunal-2 on Tuesday afternoon.
