In that tweet, he also wrote, 'The only way to defeat them now is to spread love among every Indian.'
Earlier in the day, Rahul Gandhi's sister, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi blamed the central government for the "brutal and violent" behavior of the authorities in countering the agitation against the Citizenship Bill. He also referred to this day as 'the black day of democracy'.
Priyanka Gandhi also said, 'NRC and Citizenship Bill are against the basic spirit of the country's constitution. At the same time, the attack on Baba Saheb Ambedkar's constitution will not be accepted in any way. The people of the country are fighting on the streets to protect the constitution, the Modi government is walking the path of brutality and violence to suppress their voice.
It should be noted that after the amendment of the Citizenship Act was first passed by the Parliament of the country and later became a law through the signature of the President, the movement started all over India. Currently, 21 people have been killed and many people have been injured in just a few days as the movement has turned violent. Students of the country have also come down to the streets to join this movement. The Modi government has imposed government restrictions on the news of newspapers and TV channels. All in all, a violence has spread all over India.
