The Dhaka Times Desk The last prayer of Vishwa Ijtema is today Sunday between 11 am and 12 pm. And then the Turag bank of Tungi will be resounding with the sound of Amen Amen. The second phase of the 55th World Ijtema ends today (Sunday) with the final prayer. Maulana Jamshed, the teacher of Delhi's Nizamuddin Markaz, will conduct the prayer.
Many of those who could not attend the first part of Ijtema or want to participate in the Sunday prayer today, have come to Maidan throughout the day on Saturday. A large number of worshipers even participate in Maidan today. After the Fajr prayer, hundreds of women have started taking positions inside the nearby mills and houses to participate in the final prayer. As they do not have a separate place, they have created a sitting area around the screen. Special arrangements have been made for disabled people to participate in Ijtema next to the Tashkil Kamara of Vishwa Ijtema Maidan.
Meanwhile, on the occasion of the last prayer of the second phase of Biswa Ijtema, it has been informed that traffic will be closed on several roads from dawn today (Sunday) till the end of the prayer.
In this regard, Gazipur Metropolitan Police Commissioner Anwar Hossain said, 'Traffic movement will be controlled on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway from Sunday morning. Vehicles coming from Mymensingh and Tangail will be blocked at Bhogra bypass area. It has also been informed that vehicles on the Sylhet route will be controlled at Mir Bazar area. Also, it has been informed by the Gazipur Metropolitan Police Commission that the vehicles coming from Savar and Ashulia will be controlled before the Kamarpara Bridge.
It should be noted that the first phase of this year's 55th World Ijtema started on January 10. After Fajr prayer on that day, Ijtema started with Am Bayan. After that, the last prayer of the first phase was held on Sunday, January 12. Then the second day of the 55th World Ijtema began on Friday, January 17. Today (Sunday) the activities of Biswa Ijtema will end with Akhiri Monajat. Meanwhile, 8,000 law enforcement personnel joined this year's Ijtema to provide security. They maintain law and order through strict supervision. Everything is being monitored through CC TV.
