The Simplon Valley is originally called the Valley of the Alps. The valley lies between the Pennine and Lepton ranges south of the Alps. This Simplon valley is surrounded by several high mountains, whose height is more than 4 thousand meters.
One part of this valley is in Switzerland and the other part is spread over a large area in Italy. The western part of the valley is under Switzerland and the eastern part is under Italy. It is covered with snow almost throughout the year. Next to it is the popular Simplon Pass. This road was built in the seventeenth century at a height of about 2 thousand meters from the valley.
However, the communication system is often cut off due to heavy snowfall in winter. So tourists avoid this time. The Simplon Valley is an attractive place for mountaineers.
