Mong Pru Sin, the seventh king of the Mong Dynasty, was awarded the title of "Honorary Colonel Rank" for his special contribution to the Liberation War.

A Buddha statue of Vishwa Shanti Mahamuni Raja Buddha Chaitya has been installed near Manikchari Mong Rajbari. After the installation of the Buddhist statue, a fair is organized here on the occasion of the traditional Sangrai festival of the Marmads every year on the 1st of Baisakh. Muhamani Hill also has important structures including the Smriti Math, Nanuma Devi Hall and Raj Jet Ban Buddhist Vihara, an ancient architectural monument belonging to the Mon dynasty.
