The Dhaka Times Desk Can the corona virus ever attack the idol of the god kept in the temple? Whether you can or not, the priest in a temple in Varanasi, India, has put a mask on the face of the idol! The reason is that the priest himself is suffering from the fear of corona virus.
The priest, himself wearing a mask, requested the devotees not to touch the deity's idol. Because his point is that once the deity is infected, all the devotees can be affected by corona.
Krishna Anand Pandey, the priest of that temple, said that the corona virus has already spread around the world. An outbreak of this virus has also occurred in the country. We also put a mask on Baba Vishwanath's face to raise awareness about this virus.
The priest also said, "We also request the devotees not to touch the idols to prevent the spread of this virus." If people come and worship Tagore's idol, this virus may spread further and more people will be infected with this disease.
It has been seen that those who are coming to worship at the temple in Varanasi are also praying wearing masks to prevent the spread of the corona virus.
It should be noted that 47 people have been affected by the corona virus in India so far. After China, this deadly virus has spread in at least 111 countries of the world including Italy, Korea, Iran.
