Google is actually trying to figure out a new way of doing business. Here Google will join hands with banks with physical debit cards.
Then it will be possible to make money transactions easily with that card like Visa card and MasterCard. In this way, Google will provide users with the option of making all kinds of payments from one card. At the moment, Google will only facilitate in-app payments.
Apple also offers similar cards. While Google's card will work like a physical debit card, it will work like a tap-to-pay digital card on the phone. It will also essentially provide a virtual card number for payments to online retailers. Because of this smart debit card users will not need many cards.
A special feature of this card is that users can lock their card with the help of Google Pay app. They will be able to lock their account completely if the card is lost or stolen. It means that Google's debit card will be better and more secure than the current cards.
