The Dhaka Times Desk At least 75 members of the militant group Boko Haram have been killed in a joint military operation in the African country of Niger and Nigeria, according to media reports.

The operation against Boko Haram was carried out in the area along the Komadogu river in the Sahel state of the southeastern region of Niger on Monday, according to Qatar-based news media Al Jazeera.
Al Jazeera also reported that of the 75 Boko Haram members killed, 25 were from the Niger city of Diffa and 50 from Nigeria.
Niger's Ministry of Defense said in a statement that 25 militants were killed in a military operation 74 kilometers south of the country's Diffa city on Monday. Two soldiers who took part in this operation were injured.
