Loyalty to IS now Boko Haram!

The Dhaka Times Desk Boko Haram, a militant group in Nigeria, has pledged allegiance to the Islamist extremist organization Islamic State.

The Nigerian militant group Boko Haram has pledged allegiance to the Islamist extremist organization Islamic State. The organization made the announcement by posting an audio message on its Twitter account.

The voice heard in the audio posted on Boko Haram's Twitter account is believed to be that of Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau. The published audio also promised to work together for the establishment of the caliphate by supporting the establishment of the Islamic caliphate. In the audio, the self-proclaimed caliph of IS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, is accepted and declared allegiance to him as the caliph of the Muslim world.

From the beginning to the present time this organization is flowing in a slightly different direction. In the beginning, one of Boko Haram's main activities was simply to oppose Western education. While Boko Haram was initially thought to be affiliated with Al Qaeda, analysts say it has now begun to follow IS tactics.

According to a BBC Bengali news, the Nigerian army is not able to play a very effective role against Boko Haram. But now the forces of Chad, Cameroon, and Niger have already started fighting against them.
