The Dhaka Times Desk A convicted murderer in the United States has taken up advanced mathematics in prison.

কারাগারে থেকেই প্রাচীন গণিত সমস্যার সমাধান করলেন এক ব্যক্তি! 1

According to a report of Deutsche Welle, the man has solved an ancient complex mathematical problem. which was recently published in a research journal on mathematics.

Such incidents may be seen often in Hollywood films. But what the inmate named Christopher Havens did also defies the story. The person could not pass the school, did not get any job. At some point he became addicted to drugs. He was sentenced to 25 years in prison for murder. Havens, 40, has already spent nine years behind bars, with another 16 years ahead of him.

But his days in prison are not like ten other inmates. He discovered himself as a math lover while in captivity. Started taking higher math lessons. It was not easy in prison. The prison guards would seize the books he ordered by sending letters.

Finally, he made a deal with the authorities. He was only allowed to bring textbooks in exchange for teaching math to other prisoners. But they were not enough for him. At one point he also started writing letters to the publishers of various issues of mathematics journals. A letter passed through various hands to Umberto Ceruti, professor of mathematics. He sent Havens, who was imprisoned in Seattle, a complex mathematical problem to find out the arithmetic run. Within a few days, Havens wrote a huge formula on a 120 cm long paper and sent the correct solution.

Professor Cheruti was then researching an ancient Greek mathematical problem or theory, upon which even modern cryptography is based. He also accompanied Havens in that research. Havens solved the number puzzle for the first time while sitting in jail without a calculator or digital device.

Cheruti helped explain his evidence scientifically. Their joint research was published in January 2020 in the 'Research in Number Theory' issue of the mathematics journal. Havens isn't just solving math problems himself. He has already spread the illusion of numbers among many inmates in the jail. Math club was formed with them, whose members are currently 14. Havens wants to spend the rest of his 16-year prison sentence immersed in mathematics. Which he sees as repaying his debt to society.

Those who have dry hands use Moisture after washing their hands. Soap or hand liquid can be used. Why can this virus remain in the crackle (cracked part) of dry hands? Avoid using highly alkaline soaps or detergents.
