The Dhaka Times Desk Expatriate Bangladeshi Parmita Mitra, winner of 'Miss Mississippi-2013', has become UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for Education. He will work to increase awareness for the development of child education in Bangladesh.
Parmita told the media yesterday, 'I am already associated with social activities. I am very happy to think that I will work for the children of my country. I came to Bangladesh the day after winning 'Miss Mississippi' on July 16. I am overwhelmed by people's sincerity and love. I want to give back that love by working for children. I will come to the country during my studies and do the work.'
It is to be noted that Parmita Mitra of Bangladeshi origin won the title of 'Mississippi Teen' in 2009 before becoming the winner of 'Miss Mississippi-2013'. He has been living expatriate life with his parents since childhood.
