According to various media reports, after a local batik factory was washed away by the flood water, the roads of the village started drowning in blood-red water. As the dark red color of the factory mixed with the water, the water of the entire area took on a blood color, which caused fear among the people at first. After learning about the matter later, that fear disappeared. Jenggot village is traditionally famous for batik clothing and wax production.
A local resident told the media that the flood water in Peklangan entered the textile factory and the red dye mixed with the water spread to the village. Locals are waiting for heavy rain again to wash away this red color.
It should be noted that due to the mixing of dyes from batik factories in the water, the color of the water in the rivers of Peklangan has changed many times in the past. Last month another village was flooded with green color and the whole village was drowned in bright green water!
