The Dhaka Times Desk In Kerala, India, schools have opened for class 10-12 students. After that, 192 students of class 10 of two schools were infected with corona. Along with this, 72 school workers have also been affected by the deadly virus.
Soon after the news of corona infection, the two schools were declared closed again. A health official in Malappuram said that after a student of a government school in Maranchery in the district was tested positive for the virus, another 150 students and 34 teachers were tested for the virus. 39 students and 36 teachers of Vanneri High School in neighboring Punnani area have also succumbed to the Covid-19 infection.
State health officials told media that how so many people contracted the virus is under investigation.
Note that in January 2020, the first case of Covid-19 in India was detected in Kerala. Then it gradually spread to other states. However, this South Indian state is far ahead in dealing with Corona.
