The Dhaka Times Desk Tarek's alleged girlfriend Fahima Islam Lopa, the wife of his bodyguard Maruf Reza Sagar in Milki's murder, said in her deposition that she could not have imagined that Tarek himself would kill Milki.
Fahima Islam Lopa, the wife of his bodyguard Maruf Reza Sagar, implicated herself in the murder of Milki and gave a confessional statement to the court under section 164 on Monday.
According to the deposition, Lopa was told by Jubo League (South) joint secretary SM Zahid Siddique Tarek that the three top BNP leaders were his closest relatives. Even if the government changes, its supremacy will remain intact. So after killing Milki, even if this government does not exist, nothing will happen to it. He tells Lopa that he has no reason to fear. When Lopa was produced in the court of Metropolitan Magistrate Shahriar Adnan yesterday, he gave a confessional statement for three hours from 12.30 noon to 12.30 pm in the magistrate's private room. Then the court ordered him to be sent to jail.
Lopa said in the deposition that Tarek told Milki that he would hire another killer to kill him, not kill him directly. He also said, 'In the video footage, it was seen that Tareq was shooting Milky Kaka that day while talking on the mobile phone while wearing Punjabi-pajama and hat. I could not even think that he would be shot dead like this.' Lopa identified the man in Punjabi-pajama and cap as Tarek. While traveling with Lopa to different places including Cox's Bazar, Tarek often talked about the plan to kill Milki. Lopa tells Tarek that if anything happens to you after the Milky murder, I am done. Tarek used to talk about his closeness with the top three leaders of BNP, avoiding Lopa. He used to say that he has business with the family of a leader. Not during the current government, even if the government changes, no one can touch him. Loper assured him that there would be no financial problems. If Lopa left the ocean and came back if needed, he promised to keep her well with the dignity of his wife. Lopa fell in love with Tarek's heartwarming words. Lopa mentioned in the deposition that she had been in a deep relationship with Tarek for the past one year.
According to media sources, Milki and Tarek clashed over control of Motijheel AGB Colony and surrounding areas, tender bidding, extortion, usurpation and party authority. This conflict has been going on for the last two years. Both of them were expected to be candidates for Ward No. 33 Councillor. The conflict has become more extreme. Both had been trying to kill each other for the past one year. Most recently, Milki assigned a killer from Shaorapara area to kill Tarek. The killer tells Tarek directly. After this incident, Tarek said, Milky can not be kept alive even for a day. Lopa's husband Sagar is loyal to Milki and Tarek did not expect any cooperation from him in killing Milki. Because of this, Sagar's wife, Lopa, is very cleverly involved in Tarek's love affair.
Tarek first met Lopa in Kolkata in 2006. Since then Tarek Loper has not left behind. A year ago, Tarek managed to fall in love with Lopa. Sagar also does not spend time in the world for the last two years. He would only come to sleep at night for some time. Most of the time the deceased lived with Milki. It is known that Tarek stopped the business of sea water in Motijheel area in 2010. Milky did not interfere in this matter. Sagar Lopa's family fell into financial crisis after the closure of the business. Lopa was extremely angry with Milki regarding all these issues. Lopa helps Tarek to kill RI Milki. A month ago, Tarek discussed various issues with Lopa. Lopa's duty was to call Swami Sagar and inform him of Milki's location. After two rounds of objectives were missed, Ghulam prepared to kill Tareq Milki on July 15, the day of Azam's verdict. They failed that day too. Lopa could not provide accurate information about Milki's whereabouts.
Lopa also said in his statement, in the 4th round, on July 29 last at 1 am at the entrance gate of Gulshan Sopers World, Milki was able to shoot and kill Milki while wearing Punjabi, pajama and hat. That day, Lopa called her husband Sagar several times from morning to inform him about Milki's latest whereabouts. Lopa stated in the deposition that there was no mistake in confirming his position that day.
