Senior Secretary Anwar Hossain said that the technology sector should move forward in harmony with the world. Gas or coal may run out one day. So we have to think of alternatives. South Korea and Germany are far ahead in hydrogen fuel. It is being worked on all over the world. Hydrogen car will come in our country within a year. The more coal, petrol, diesel is burnt, the more the carbon increases. 'Hydrogen fuel is environmentally friendly. This fuel can be made from air and water. As long as the Himalayas are there, there will be no shortage of water in the country.
Speakers said Bangladesh has enough water and biomass. Production of numerous units of hydrogen is possible through the successful use of water and biomass as raw materials. Successful use of these two as raw materials has the potential to establish a robust energy system in Bangladesh.
Therefore, the main objective of the project is to establish a pilot plant for limited-scale hydrogen production, synthesis or development of innovative materials for hydrogen storage and preparation of hydrogen fuel cells, as well as creating skilled manpower related to technology.
