This historic Girish Chandra Sen zamindar house is located on the banks of Madhumati river in Bhatiapara of Gopalganj district. It is not known exactly in which year the landlord Girish Chandra Sen actually built this house. A striking English U-shaped manor house with a two-storied building in the middle and single-storied buildings on either side. Two rooms and two balconies are in the two-storey part.
The zamindar house was surrounded by walls on three sides with a temple on the left and a kachari house made of chana (straw) on the right. A three-room single-storey building at the rear of the main building was used as a kitchen.
In front of this zamindar house, which is surrounded by a lot of trees, is a pond, which was dug by the zamindar Girish Chandra Sen for the local people. Currently, Kashiani is living in the landlord's house of Girish Chandra Sen, former principal of MA Khalek Degree College.
Palash, Imad, Golden Line, Tungipara Express, Comfort, Green Line, Rajdhani and BRTC buses ply on the Dhaka-Gopalganj route from Gabtali or Sayedabad bus terminals in the capital Dhaka. Gopalganj police line or get down at Ghonapara by battery operated autovan, Nasimon or bus and come to Bhatiapara and from there you can go to the house of zamindar Girish Chandra Sen which is 1 km away.
From Dhaka, you can take a direct bus to Kashiani upazila of Gopalganj district and go to Girish Chandra Sen's zamindar house with CNG.
