The Dhaka Times Desk Taliban mourned the death of journalist Danish Siddiqui. The organization informed that how Danish died, the matter is unknown to them.
Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said in an interview to the international media, "We really don't know who killed the journalist."
He also said that any journalist should inform us before entering the war zone. Then we have the responsibility to protect that person. We can take proper care. But we are saddened by the death of Indian journalist Danish Siddiqui. But journalists are coming to the battlefield without informing us, this is our regret.
Reuters journalist Danish Siddiqui was shot and killed on Friday while covering the war between the Afghan army and the Taliban. In this regard, the Afghan commander told Reuters that the Afghan special forces were trying to capture the Main Market and Spin Boldak area.
Danish was there to gather news. The 38-year-old Danish was killed during a firefight with the Taliban, Afghan forces said.
According to Indian news agency, the Taliban has already handed over Danish's body to the ICRC. Arrangements were also made to hand over the journalist's body to India. The Indian government has already started the process of repatriating Danish's body.
