রাশিয়া অভিযোগ তুলেছে যে, ব্রিটিশ যুদ্ধজাহাজ তাদের জলসীমা লঙ্ঘন করেছে! সেই কারণে ব্রিটেনের ওপর ক্ষুব্ধ পুতিন সরকার। তবে ইংল্যান্ড এই ধরনের অভিযোগ পুরোপুরি অস্বীকার করেছে।
ওই বিষয়টি নিয়েই রীতিমতো হুঁশিয়ারি উচ্চারণ করলেন রাশিয়ার প্রেসিডেন্ট ভ্লাদিমির পুতিন। তিনি বলেছেন যে, যদি তৃতীয় বিশ্বযুদ্ধ হয়, তাহলে রাশিয়া খুব সহজেই জয়ী হবে।
যে যুদ্ধজাহাজ জলসীমা লঙ্ঘন করেছে বলে অভিযোগ তোলা হয়েছে, পুতিন সেই সম্পর্কে বলেন, ওই যুদ্ধজাহাজটি যদি রাশিয়া ডুবিয়ে দিতো তাহলেও তৃতীয় বিশ্বযুদ্ধের মতো এমন পরিস্থিতি সৃষ্টি হতো না, কারণ পশ্চিমা দেশগুলো ভালো করেই জানে, তারা কখনও জিততে পারবে না।
এমন এক পরিস্থিতিতে তৃতীয় বিশ্বযুদ্ধের কোনো আশঙ্কা রয়েছে কি না, এমন প্রশ্নের উত্তরে পুতিন বলেছেন যে, একদমই নয়। এমনকি আমরা যদি ওই জাহাজটা ডুবিয়েও দিতাম, তাহলেও এটা কল্পনা করা কঠিন যে, গোটা দুনিয়ায় তৃতীয় বিশ্বযুদ্ধের মুখে দাঁড়িয়ে। কারণ হলো যারা এটা করেছে, তারা ভালো করেই জানেন, তারা কখনও বিজয়ী হতে পারবে না।
পুতিন জোর গলায় বলেন, যদি কখনও তৃতীয় বিশ্বযুদ্ধ লাগেও, তাহলেও রাশিয়া খুব সহজেই জয়ী হবে।
