Denmark's Foreign Minister Jeppe Kofod said on Friday that the staff of the embassy in Kabul is being evacuated. On the same day, German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said that Berlin has completely limited the activities of its embassy. Norway has announced the temporary closure of its embassy in Kabul. Along with this, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country has also announced the withdrawal of all its personnel.
Finland has also announced that it is rapidly evacuating all staff from its embassy in Kabul. Meanwhile, Canada has sent forces to Afghanistan to close the embassy. India has also announced the closure of its consulate in Afghanistan.
But the US has not yet taken any decision to close its embassy. Instead, they called on the Taliban to keep their embassy safe.
It should be noted that the Taliban have already moved to 11 kilometers from Kabul. They have already captured 18 provincial capitals. Now only Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, remains to be occupied.
