According to international media reports, yesterday (Sunday) more than 1,000 Taliban participated in the rally organized in a field in the northern part of Kabul.
According to the report, they participated in the rally wearing traditional clothes of Afghanistan. Top Taliban leaders addressed the rally. Speakers have also been seen carrying assault rifles on their shoulders.
Around the rally site, Taliban fighters also conducted a drill with Afghan flags and weapons. Unarmed supporters at the rally were seen displaying handwritten posters. At this time, many people had Taliban flags in their hands.
Anti-US slogans were also raised during the rally, the report said. Supporters chanted pro-Taliban slogans as they arrived at the venue.
It is to be noted that this is the first time that such a rally has been organized in the capital Kabul after the Taliban seized power for the second time, according to the report.
Previously, women protested against the Taliban in various places in Kabul. In these programs, various demands have been made, including women's membership in the interim cabinet of the Taliban government, girls' participation in schools and workplaces. Women's rallies against the Taliban have been accused of using blank bullets, baton charges, tear gas and water cannons.
