Baisakh or Poush-Basant bears its testimony. The rare and unique instance of celebrating Eid of the Muslim community and Durga Puja of the Sanatan Hindu community on the same day without conflict is a shining proof of Bengali culture.
The children of this country wake up to the sound of mosques and temple bells. This is our work, this is how the children of this country grow up in the same light and air. But recently we can see that the country's fundamentalist groups and some self-interested political circles are using religion as a tool to achieve their nefarious interests, repeatedly attacking our harmony and non-communal spirit. By drawing religious lines, Bangladesh has become involved in the sinister game of creating a conflict. The recent Comilla incident is an example of that. This is not an isolated incident.
Article 2(a) of the Constitution states that the State shall ensure equality and equal rights in the observance of Hindu, Buddhist, Christian and other religions. And about religious freedom, it is said in Article 41 of the Constitution - 41. (1) Subject to law, public order and morality-
(a) Every citizen has the right to adopt, practice or propagate any religion.
(b) Every religious community and sub-community has the right to establish, maintain and manage its own religious institutions.
The fundamentalist group, which is engaged in the process of destroying religious freedom given by the constitution of Hindus, Buddhists, Christians and other religions by the self-interested political circles using religion as a tool to serve their interests, 'Khelaghar' strongly demands the government to suppress them with a firm hand.
Children are the worst affected by religious fanaticism and divisiveness. Childhood is having a negative influence on children's minds and children are becoming fearful and anxious. On the other hand, instead of respect, hatred towards other religions is created.
In this way, the self-interested groups are trying to identify the Bangladesh of harmony as a communal Bangladesh by pulling the religious divide.
Khelaghar believes that today's children are the main force of building the future of Bangladesh. The non-communal Bangladesh of martyrs' dreams will be built by the hands of today's children in the spirit of the liberation war. As a science-minded nation, the red-green flag of Bangladesh will be presented to the world.
For that purpose, 'Khelaghar' is demanding exemplary punishment by bringing these irreligious militant groups involved in anti-state conspiracy, creating religious discord, under the law. Only then will a child-friendly, non-communal Bangladesh develop. News bulletins.
