Election Board President SM Kamal announced the appointment of the executive committee for the term 2022-2023 at BASIS office on Tuesday afternoon.
Giga Tech Limited Managing Director Samira Zuberi Himika has been elected as Senior Vice President, Enroute International Limited Managing Director and CEO Abu Dawood Khan as Vice President (Administration), Pathao Limited Managing Director and CEO Faheem Ahmed as Vice President (Finance).
Also, Habibullah Niamul Karim, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Techno Heaven Company Limited, AKM Ahmadul Islam Babu, Managing Director and CEO of Technogram Limited, Mushfiqur Rahman, Managing Director of Spectrum Software and Consulting Limited, Syed Mohammad Kamal, Country Manager of Mastercard Bangladesh, Managing Director and CEO of Drimaz Lab Limited. Newly elected president of BASIS Russell T Ahmed said in the distribution ceremony, "We believe that the development of each member means the development of BASIS, the development of the information technology sector. Incidentally, Russel T Ahmed previously served as BASIS Secretary General in 2012-2014 and Senior Vice President in 2014-2016 and 2016-2018. During his tenure, he led BASIS initiatives such as Digital World 2014, IT Marketing Summit, Bangladesh Internet Week, One Bangladesh. His organization Team Creative jointly organized the 'Be Smart, Use Heart' awareness campaign with UNICEF and Telenor to protect students online. Prior to founding his own company in 2010, he served as CEO of Amara Networks, Chief Marketing Officer of QB, Chief Strategy Officer of Fiber at Home.
