The Dhaka Times Desk Nepal's popular folk singer Neera Chantial was killed in a plane crash in Nepal. What singer Neera wrote in the last status before the accident.
Neera's sister Heera Chantial Sherchan identified the body and confirmed it. He said that Neera Chantial was going to Pokhara for a function on the occasion of Makar Sankranti. In her last post on Facebook before her death, Neera wrote that, 'Tomorrow will be a lot of fun in Pokhara.'
It is known that there were a total of 72 people in the plane including the crew and passengers. 68 deaths have been reported. Yeti Airlines spokesperson Sudarshan Bartaula said that 10 foreign nationals, including 2 children, were on board the flight.
According to the information provided by the airport, there were 53 Nepali nationals, 5 Indians, 4 Russians, one Irishman, 2 Koreans, 1 Argentinean and 1 French national on the plane.
According to news agency ANI, the plane of Yeti Airlines was going from Pokhara to Kathmandu. It crashed near Kaski district just 20 minutes after take off.
