On March 18, Indian media NDTV reported that an email from Bengaluru-based start-up company WakeFit said, 'We are thrilled to announce that WakeFit will be celebrating International Sleep Day on Friday (March 17) with all its employees.
Moreover, the company has also given a post on LinkedIn. Later the screenshot of that post was mailed to all the employees of the organization. The post's caption said, "All workers have been given an optional day off on March 17 to take a break to mark World Sleep Day." They need to rest after a long week. All workers will get a golden opportunity to rest on March 17.
Not only that, in May last year, the company announced the 'Right to Nap Policy' on March 17. Under this policy, employees will also get 30 minutes of sleep time during their working hours.
Chaitanya Ramalingagowda, the head of Wakefit, told the media that their organization has fixed 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm for employees to sleep.
