BASIS urges Japanese businessmen to invest in Bangladesh in information technology sector

Bangladeshi IT companies are capable of providing products and services as per any international demand. Bangladesh's success in the international software and app market is also enviable. By 2041, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's vision of Smart Bangladesh is on the right track and BASIS is working as a partner to the government. One of the main objectives of the BASIS is to create up-to-date skilled human resources to know how to use technology for economic development in the implementation of "Smart Bangladesh".

He further said, “Basis has been working for several years to explore Japan's IT market and facilitate Japanese investment in Bangladesh in building a smart Bangladesh and real development of the Information and Communication Technology sector. Bangladesh's fast-paced IT or ITES sector is poised to open up new opportunities for Japanese ICT entrepreneurs and investors. There is a deep sense of brotherhood between Japan and Bangladesh. In the field of information technology, Bangladesh has skilled manpower and Japan has advanced information technology. In this regard, I hope that both countries will benefit if Bangladesh and Japan work together to make maximum use of the expertise of both countries."

BASIS Director AKM Ahmadul Islam Babu presented the main paper in the seminar. He said, “Bangladeshi IT companies participating in Japan IT Week have received a good response in the last few years.
