The Dhaka Times Desk The situation in Egypt is once again chaotic. The court banned all activities of the Muslim Brotherhood.

According to media sources, a court of the country ordered to ban all the activities of the ousted president Muslim Brotherhood and to seize their assets. At the same time, the court has also banned the activities of Brotherhood organizations. Cairo's administrative court said on Monday, "This rule of prohibition of activities will apply to the Islamic organization, its private branch organization and any organization born from it."
Muslim Brotherhood was established in 1928 with the aim of establishing 'Islamic rule'. They were active in the ideology of establishing Islamic Sharia law and raising a new generation of Islamists. The Brotherhood did not have the opportunity to operate as a political party in Egypt during Hosni Mubarak's regime. Yet in almost every election the party's members have received good public support as independent candidates. After more than 80 years of waiting, they came to power in Egypt for the first time last year. But in the end it could not last even a year. After Morsi's ouster, about 2,000 of his party's leaders and activists were also arrested.
It should be noted that in the face of anti-government protests, the army overthrew the Muslim Brotherhood-backed President Mohamed Morsi on July 3. When the Islamists started a nationwide movement in protest, the law and order forces strictly suppressed it. Thousands of people have been killed due to this. Morsi was elected last year for the Freedom and Justice Party.
