BCB president Nazmul Hasan informed about this temporary ban in a press conference organized at the BCB office in Mirpur. Before this, the board president held an emergency meeting with the board members.
Last day after another round of investigation, two officials of ICC anti-corruption department (AKSU) left Dhaka. Before leaving, they informed the BCB president about the latest status of the investigation. However, no BCB official was speaking about this.
On Tuesday, BCB President Nazmul Hasan said, based on Aksu's investigation, it has been decided to temporarily keep Ashraful away from all forms of cricket. Nazmul also said that any permanent action will be taken after the final report.
Officials of Aksur said that something suspicious was found in three matches of this year's IPL. According to the information received, Ashraful admitted to Aksu that there were irregularities in the three matches between Dhaka-Chittagong on February 2, Dhaka-Khulna on February 11 and Dhaka-Barisal on February 12.
