The Dhaka Times Desk 24-year-old German midfielder Mesut Ozil said he was the most focused player during his time at the Santiago Bernabeu, preparing for every game and translating his training performance into the game. But despite doing so much for Madrid, Ozil did not get the appreciation he deserved from the club's higher-ups.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez complained, "Real sold Ozil for unprofessional behavior." The Madrid president also alleged that Ozil was depressed and used to drink with women in bars at night. Ozil dismissed them as completely baseless. It is said that Ozil's father will take legal action against Perez's slander.
When Ozil's opinion was asked about this, he said, "The respect I had left for Real Madrid is now gone." But I don't want to say anything bad because I had a wonderful three years in Madrid. We won trophies and many memorable events happened on the field of play. The fans and staff there will tell you how much of a professional player I was."
