The Dhaka Times Desk A pedestrian in the United Kingdom took his dog for a walk and saw around 77 lakh rupees floating in the nearby drain!
When the man reported the matter to the local administration, the administration put all the money in a plastic bag before it washed away. After calculating all the money, it can be seen that 1,00,000 dollars is about 77,00,000 in Bangladeshi taka! The administration said that some of the money got lost in the water, but these money can be changed from the bank to make new notes.
The local administration said that the money was flowing through the South Drove canal when the passerby saw the money. The police said that they have sent these money to the lab for forensic examination which will provide more detailed information about these money.
CID spokesperson Steve Hull He said, "Usually, such money does not flow into the water of the drain, but if anyone knows any information about these funds, they can inform the administration so that these funds can be returned to the real owner."
He further said, "If anyone claims ownership of this money, he must present clear arguments and evidence in support of that claim."
These things are usually not seen in reality, such a huge amount of money is floating in the water of the drain and the person who received it is informing the administration and handing it over to them! This is indeed a rare instance nowadays.
