Celebrated fiction writer Humayun Ahmed's birthday today

The Dhaka Times Desk Today is the 65th birthday of novelist and filmmaker Humayun Ahmed. The TV channels of the country have organized special programs on the occasion of Nandit's birthday.

'Humayun Mela' on Channel I

Channel I has organized an exceptional day-long festival on the occasion of legendary fiction writer Humayun Ahmed's birthday. Humayun Mela will be organized at Channel I premises as part of the festival. Films written and chosen by Humayun Ahmed, drama songs, and songs of the country's famous artists will be performed on this fair stage. Apart from dance and poetry recitation, Humayun Ahmed's close friends will recite memoirs.

ATN Bangla

On ATN Bangla, a special program 'Fair and Lovely Cine Song' will be aired at 12:15 PM on Humayun Ahmed's movie songs. The program was directed by Laila Banu. The drama 'Charanrekha' written and directed by Humayun Ahmed will be aired at 3.10 pm. Played by Ramendu Majumder, Challenger, Dr. Ejaz, Shaon and other artists. ATN Bangla's Lux Showbiz World program's Review of Classics segment is arranged with the lyrics of the film 'Shravan Megher Din' directed by Humayun Ahmed. The characters include - Asaduzzaman Noor starring Baker Bhai (Nobody), Mirza Saheb (Ayomay), Yunus (Yunus of Nandail) and Mana Dakat (Nimful). Meher Afroz Shaon starrer Titli (Today is Sunday), Shravan Megher Din and Nishi Kavya. There are Farooq Ahmad starrer Majhi (Shyamal Chhaya), Moti (Today is Sunday) and Chor (The Three of them). Badi (Nowhere) and Jamai (Starry Night) starring actor Abdul Quader, a favorite of Humayun Ahmed. Thieves (the three of them) starring Doctor Ejaz. Various characters played by Ahmed Rubel and Swadhin Khosru.
