Dhaka Times Report. This is the first time a woman from Bangladesh has conquered the world's highest peak Everest. His name is Nishat.

As a result of 9 long years of relentless efforts and systematic work, Nishat Majumdar has become the first Bangladeshi woman to fly the national flag of Bangladesh on the summit of Everest, the world's highest peak, on May 18.
Dhaka Wasa's accounting officer Nishat's mountain climbing started in 2003 with the cooperation of Bangladesh Astronomical Association. Later, as a member of Bengal Mountaineering and Trekking Club (BMTC), he gradually built his victory platform. Nishat always dreamed of conquering Everest one day. That dream came true on May 18 at 9:30 am. At this time, he did the summit push. Bangladeshi MA Muhith who conquered Everest for the second time was with him. They were supposed to push for the summit on May 16. But it is said to be delayed by two days due to bad weather. However, Bangladesh Embassy in Nepal has not yet confirmed the truth of this news.
The concerned said that Nishat and Muhith will reach the base camp of Everest by the afternoon of May 19 today. Only then the authorities of Nepal including the embassy will confirm the matter and they will be given the Everest conquest certificate. Earlier, on the night of May 18, the two of them were supposed to stay at 'Camp-2' at a height of six and a half thousand meters.
Nishat's freedom fighter father, literary and cultural secretary of Central Freedom Fighters Command Council and secretary general of Bangladesh Freedom Fighters Club Abdul Mannan Majumder is very proud of this achievement. He said, I consider her as a representative of the liberation of Bengali girls. At a time when there is a totalitarian conspiracy to isolate women from the society and confine them to the house, the time has robbed the women of such a glory. As a father, I am very proud of this incident. In this context, Nishat's mother said, I am definitely proud and happy. But returning from the summit is risky. I can't rest until I come back.
Not only the family members, but also every citizen of Bangladesh is proud of this achievement of Nishat, who passed graduation and post graduation from the Department of Accountancy of Dhaka City College. In the morning, when the news of his Everest victory spread in the media and social media, people from different parts of the country and abroad started congratulating him. A joyous procession and sweets were distributed in Ramganj upazila of Nishat's birthplace Lakshmipur. Besides, well-wishers began to gather at Nishat's Green Road home from morning with flowers and sweets. Sources said that when Nishat was near the peak of the mountain, their tent was torn apart by a heavy storm. In this adverse situation, 2 Sherpas went back. Among them, the indomitable brave Nishat risked his life and climbed the peak.
It should be noted that President Md Zillur Rahman, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Leader of the Opposition Khaleda Zia and former President Hussain Muhammad Ershad congratulated Nishat for brightening up the country by being the first woman in Bangladesh to climb the world's highest peak and raise the red and green flag.
