The Dhaka Times Desk The 18-party alliance led by BNP has again called for a strike-blockade. A nationwide strike has been called for Tuesday and Wednesday (November 26 and 27).
In a press conference at the chairperson's office in Gulshan on Monday night BNP Acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir He announced the program. He announced the blockade of highways, railways and waterways from 6 am on Tuesday to 6 am on Thursday.
A source in the party said that this blockade will be strictly observed across the country. The government is going to hold the election unilaterally by bypassing the opposition party. The party sources said that the strictest program will be announced because the opposition party will not allow that election to take place.
It should be noted that the Chief Election Commissioner announced the schedule of the elections today in view of the next 10th National Parliament elections. The opposition party had been demanding to push back the schedule demanding to resolve the crisis through negotiations.
