In one such remote snow-covered highland of the Himalayas there is a type of humanoid creature called Yeti or Snow Man. Although the evidence of their existence has been found in various ways, scientists have not been able to determine their true identity even today. Snowmen are still a mystery to scientists. But in the states of Tibet, Nepal and Bhutan located at the foot of the Himalayas, the existence of the yeti or snow man is officially recognized.
In Tibet and Bhutan, the snowman is known as Melokhangsai. In Nepal the snow man is known as Meti or Yeti. Those who have ventured into the remote Himalayas have also heard many strange tales of the Yeti from the mountain dwellers of the Himalayan valleys. Even in Sherpa society there is a belief that death is inevitable if you see a Yeti. Monstrous yetis often descended from the highlands into valley settlements and raided and carried off livestock. In 1832, the first credible news of the Yeti reached the plains people. BH Hodgson, the first British emigrant to Nepal, described an unknown animal from the Himalayas just like this - 'It walks upright like a man, with long hair all over its body and no tail.' However, Hodgson's description did not elicit much response. But in the early 19th century, the Yeti caused a stir around the world.
In 1913, a group of Chinese hunters reported seeing a monkey in the snow-covered regions of the Himalayas with a scaly face, silvery yellow hair several inches long all over its body, a human-like gait, and extraordinary strength. The Everest expedition through Tibet was conducted in 1921 under the command of Colonel CK Howard Berry. He and his companions found several large human footprints near the Kharta Glacier, about 20,000 feet above sea level. On the other hand, in 1923, British Everest explorer Major Alan Cameron saw a group of humanoid creatures moving slowly along a narrow path along a steep rock wall above the Himalayan ice line. British explorer Frank Smiddy saw such an event again in 1937. He went to Tibet and found huge footprints of this animal at a height of 14,000 feet. He measured the footprints and found them to be about 13 inches long and about 5 inches wide.
But in 1950, in the Pangbochi region of Nepal, a mummified index finger, thumb joint and some skin were found, but scientists examined them and completely ruled out the possibility of a yeti. The following year in 1951, Himalayan explorer Eric Shipton saw similar footprints near the Gourishankar peak at an altitude of 23,440 feet and photographed it, and when the photo was published in the newspaper, the story once again caused a stir in the world. After seeing this picture, the scientists made various arguments, but they could not come to any conclusion.
When everything was just such a dream, in 1958, an irrefutable proof of the existence of the mysterious snowman named Yeti was found. Dr. Norman Direnforge is an American researcher and American explorer. According to McNeil, the Yeti snowman is actually a low-level human or human-like creature. Who live in hidden caves of the Himalayas. From the various evidences they brought, it was known that there are two species of Yetis.
