If the incident had been solved and the culprits had been caught then Standard Group would not have been set on fire today.

Speakers also said that due to the ongoing political unrest in the country, foreign buyers do not want to go to Bangladesh. Meanwhile, if fires are set intentionally, it will not be possible to sustain the garment industry in this country. The speakers demanded to investigate and bring the real culprits under the law.

The meeting was attended by the presidents of BKMEA, BJMEA, BTMA, owners of Standard Group and several other garment industry owners.
