The Dhaka Times Desk The court has adjourned the hearing on the stay of execution of Jamaat-e-Islami Assistant Secretary General Abdul Quader Mollah till Thursday morning.
Chief Justice Md. The full bench of 5 judges of the Appellate Division led by Mozammel Hossain gave this order at 1 pm today. The other members of the bench are Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha (SK Sinha), Justice Abdul Wahhab Mia, Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain and Justice AHM Shamsuddin Chowdhury.
Barrister Abdur Razzaq and Attorney General Mahbubey Alam participated in today's hearing on behalf of Quader Molla.
It is to be noted that the lawyers of Quader Mollah requested to extend the suspension of execution by citing the reason of strike and blockade. The court adjourned the hearing for 1 hour after the hearing started. Then at 11:30 pm the court sat again and ordered the adjournment till Thursday morning.
