The Dhaka Times Desk The blockade-hartal called by 18 parties led by BNP is going on. The person injured in the petrol bomb attack in Gazipur yesterday died today.
Today is the second day of continuous blockade and 48-hour strike by BNP-led 18-party alliance. Yesterday also there was widespread violence in different parts of the country. Leaders and workers of the opposition party have attacked in different parts of the country, especially in the centers where the elections will be held. About 150 schools were set on fire. Due to which polling has been suspended in 138 centers.
Meanwhile, Nuruzzaman (26), who was burnt in a petrol bomb attack on a truck loaded with cattle in Gazipur's Kaliakore last night, died early Sunday morning. When he was burnt yesterday, he was admitted to the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital. The petrol bomb attack took place in Kaliakore at around 9 pm yesterday.
