The Dhaka Times Desk Jatiya Party presidium member Roshan Ershad said that I am doing what I am doing on Ershad's orders. He said this in a press conference yesterday.
In the press conference, Roshan mentioned that party chairman Hussain Muhammad Ershad supports all the activities of the party. He said, 'I am doing everything on the instructions of party chairman Ershad. Ershad will take oath as a newly elected Member of Parliament. However, at this time he said that he himself will be the leader of the opposition party in the parliament. He said the reason for this is that Ershad is a former president. Therefore, Roshan Ershad mentioned that he is not fit to be the leader of the opposition party. Roshan said, Ershad is also taking oath today.
On Wednesday, he held an emergency meeting with the winning candidates of the Jatiya Party in the 10th National Parliament Election. Later, he said these things in a press briefing at the media center of the National Parliament.
Roshan Ershad said, 'We have arrived here through a troublesome calamity. This is not the first time, I have been a member of Parliament three times before. Jatiya Party is a very old party. I am not the spokesperson of the party, so I did not want to speak.' Regarding Ershad, he said, 'He is there. He is in CMH due to illness. Currently somewhat healthy. He will come to us in a few days. Advising-encouraging-instructing us in all our work. He said, everything is happening on his orders. Ershad told him, 'I was the president, now I can't be the leader of the opposition. You are the leader of the opposition. I have my prayers and support for you' said Roshan in the press conference.
