The Dhaka Times Desk The intelligence police arrested 3 Pakistani nationals from the capital while roaming suspiciously.
They were arrested from Shilpakala Academy area of the capital on Sunday around 10 pm. They are Osman (23), Mehmood (25) and Fakhrul Hasan (50). All of them are residents of Kaurangi and Mali in Pakistan.
Detective police recovered laptops containing bomb-making manuals and military training information from them.
Police said no visas were received from Mehmood and Osman. A passport was recovered from the other Fakhrul Hasan but it was expired. Police said they were members of the Pakistani militant outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban.
The arrested persons told the detective police that they were staying in Kakrail to go to Teknaf. The intelligence department has entered the field for further investigation on the matter. Investigation is on to ascertain the purpose for which they were staying in Bangladesh.
However, it is believed that they may have entered Bangladesh as a result of the World Ijtema.
It should be noted that after the execution of Quader Mollah's death sentence, this militant organization Threatened to blow up the Bangladesh embassy in Pakistan. A report on this was published in The Dhaka Times.
