The Dhaka Times Desk ICC has announced the World T20 XI with the cricketers who showed individual skills in the recently concluded ICC T20 World Cup on Monday. Bangladesh's Salma Khatun has made a place in this XI.
At the end of each World Cup event, the ICC selects the best players from that tournament to form separate men's and women's World XIs. This time too, a team of experts led by David Boon of the Elite Panel of ICC Match Referees announced the Boys/Girls World XI based on their performance in the World Cup, taking into account Bangladesh's 'condition'.
Bangladesh's best female cricketer Salma Khatun got a place in the best T20 women's eleven considered by the elite panel of ICC match referees. Salma took 8 wickets in the World Cup showing offspin skills. However, there is no place for a Bangladeshi player in the men's eleven even though there is a place for a Bangladeshi player in the women's eleven. Four Indian cricketers have made it to the boys' best XI.

- Rohit Sharma (India): 200 runs
- Stephen Myburgh (Netherlands): 224 runs
- Virat Kohli (India): 319 runs
- JP Duminy (South Africa): 187 runs
- Glenn Maxwell (Australia): 147 runs
- MS Dhoni (India): 50 runs, 6 dismissals
- Ravichandran Ashwin (India): 11 wickets
- Dale Steyn (South Africa): 9 wickets
- Samuel Vardy (West Indies): 11 wickets
- Lasith Malinga (Sri Lanka): 5 wickets
- 12th man: Krismar Santoki (West Indies) 8 wickets
Among the total 11 women cricketers in the World XI, there are four from England, two each from champions Australia and West Indies and one each from Bangladesh, India and New Zealand. However, it has been said from the elite panel of ICC match referees, "This team has been formed keeping in mind the conditions of Bangladesh only. There are many more good players left out of this list."
